At present, she has three older cats: Lenny was one of her first Phoenix foster kittens, and Coffee and Mora came with her from El Paso as kittens. Since retiring and moving to Arizona, Nancy has had more free time to help with animal groups. She has fostered baby kittens and cats, worked with TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) programs through the Animal Welfare League, and has helped with adoptions. Nancy has also served as both a house and pet sitter for her friends and family. Her love of, and dedication to animals makes her thoughtful and thorough with the care of any animal. Molly recently returned to Tempe after a 30-year trek across the country. She has a master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, with a focus on Long Term Care and for the past two years she has been assisting her mother full time, including the care of her mom’s 7 cats! Molly is familiar with insulin injections, as well as other medication regimes. Prior to becoming a Cat Lady, Molly was a dog person. She raised four German Shepherds over the past 20 years, and believes big dogs need to be good citizens, and enjoyed training her dogs to be just that. In addition to her German Shepherds, Molly has had a Toy Poodle, a West Highland Terrier, and a Jack Russell/Beagle mix. Gerbils and hamsters were also a staple in her childhood home, as well as about a million kittens. Molly learned about dog training through obedience classes and from books and has been a pet sitter for her friends and family for over 20 years. She believes pets are like children--they are part of the family—and as such, they are lifelong commitments that will provide you with unwavering love and companionship and the need to be loved back.

KIMBERLY:

Kimberly has always had a love for animals. She currently has two dogs, a horse and a cat. She says that although she doesn’t consider Fleetwood, her horse, a pet, “he is my teacher and training partner.” Kimberly’s cat, who was once a feral cat that hung around outside, never letting anyone close, decided one day to jump up on Kimberly’s lap, and has been part of the family ever since. Her two dogs are both rescue dogs - a long-hair Chihuahua and a 30-pound Pomeranian. Friends and family have entrusted their beloved pets to her care because she treats them as her own. Kimberly finds that being able to assist pet owners with their pet sitting or dog walking needs is a great reward, and she enjoys being around all types of animals.

pet sitter Tempe

Hi! My name is Megan Commito and I am a Arizona native, if you can believe it! I have been a teacher for the past 24 years and specifically a hospital teacher the last 13 years. I now teach college courses online while I homeschool my daughter.

I have been a “pet person” my whole life and not only did I grow up with both cats and dogs, but I think I brought my first rescue pup home at age 7!  have been involved in rescue for over 30 years and have 5 rescue dogs and 3 rescue cats of my own. Sampson, Scruffy and Yodi are all mixed breeds that came out of the pound and are considered “senior” dogs and Bernie and Lulu are both doodle mixes and are our young pups. Enzo, Indie and Ollie are our three cats, also all rescues, and each with their own fun and funny personalities.

My friends and family call me an animal whisperer. I just really love all creatures and feel a special connection with them. I pride myself in using calm energy to comfort animals that may be frightened, overexcited or have experienced trauma. I love meeting new furry friends and look forward to pet sitting in the Ahwatukee, Chandler and Tempe area.

He has always had one or more pets in his life including dogs, cats, hamsters, gerbils, mice, the occasional horned toad, even a tarantula at one point and they were all rescues in some manner. He currently shares his home (or is it the other way around?) with two rescue cats who don’t really care for the other and compete for his attention. He is patient and nurturing and looks forward to providing the best possible experience for your pets. He is available in Ahwatukee, Chandler, Gilbert and Tempe.

ALYSSA:

Daily, Mid-day, Dog walking and House visits

TLC Pet Sitter
Hello, my name is Alyssa Linnabary. I was born and raised here in Arizona, I lived a few years of my life in Colorado as my second home. I'm a full time college student finishing my last year to receive my Associates Degree. I hope to pursue more at ASU to receive my Bachelors Degree in either Criminal Justice or pursue more into Vet Tech/Vet Assistant. I am outgoing and creative by spending my free time painting or doing photography. I currently have a dog and a cat that I love and treat as my own children.

From a young age I have always lived and cared for animals. Such as dogs, cats, lizards, fish, hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs, and even chickens! Through my experience with animals I have learned and grown very far into my love and passion for them. I first started working in a pet hotel managing the doggie day camp area where I would supervise up to 40 dogs in a room. I even learned a few grooming techniques from bathing and clipping nails. Later on, I branched out to try something new with dog behavior.

I became a dog trainer and taught basic obedience of all breeds, sizes, and ages. I have experience working with many different types of dog behaviors from timid to aggressive temperaments. I wanted to grow more in my experience and decided to work in an animal shelter environment. I wanted to provide care for the dogs and cats that needed it the most. It made me happy seeing that the animals were happy as well as receiving so much care and affection.

Working in an animal shelter can be overwhelming and hard work, but rewarding in the end. Some experience I picked up from the shelter was providing medication and acknowledging when an animal is sick and or injured. I got the opportunity to help in the clinic on some days with recovering animals after surgery. Overall, I love caring for any animal as if they were mine. I can provide service in the Mesa, Tempe, Chandler, and Gilbert areas.

LAURA:

Daily Vacation Visits, Cat Sitting, Mid-Day,  Overnight Care, Dog Walking, and House Visits

Pet Sitter
My name is Laura Streff. I'm originally from Chicago and have lived in Arizona for 40 years. I recently retired from a career in the healthcare industry.

I grew up with a dog and have been a 'mom' to several cats over the years. My current family consists of 6 cats who have been adopted from local shelters. I would love to have a dog but my 6 cats have 'vetoed' that idea so I get my 'dog fix' by walking dogs for the last 15 years at the AZ Animal Welfare League. In addition, I spend time with cats at a Kitty Cafe as a volunteer for the rescue group – Saving One Life. I've done some pet sitting for neighbors and friends taking care of both cats and dogs.

In the past, I've worked as a part-time vet assistant and as an Adoptions Counselor for the AZ Humane Society. These experiences have given me the ability to administer medications and injections and to interact with dogs of all sizes and behavior traits.

I walk dogs and pet sit for cats and dogs in Tempe, Mesa, and Chandler.

LISA:

Daily Vacation Visits, Cat Sitting, Mid-day,  Overnight Care, Dog Walking, and House Visits

Hello, my name is Lisa. I am a retired Deputy sheriff from San Diego, currently residing in Gilbert, Arizona so that I can be close to my grandchildren.

I’m an animal lover and have had pets my whole life. I have looked after pets of all ages and sizes, from rabbits and hamsters to labs and mastiffs. I love dedicating my time to helping animals and have even volunteered in Thailand to rehabilitate elephants at an animal sanctuary.

I have been my friends and family's go-to pet and house sitter for years as I love all animals as if they were my own and I enjoy helping others. In the past, I have worked with both healthy and sick pets, including my own diabetic lab named Roxy. As a senior dog, she required two insulin shots a day, frequent blood draws to test glucose levels, and diligent record-keeping to ensure she was as healthy as possible. I loved being able to provide the care she needed to feel loved, safe and comfortable. I am also CPR/First Aid certified for pets and would be comfortable administering this emergency care in the event it was necessary.

I love to travel and always feel torn about leaving my pets behind. So, I completely understand your desire to keep your beloved pets at home in an environment where they feel relaxed and comfortable. I would be more than delighted to be able to provide that in-home care and love that your pets deserve while you're away. I look forward to pet-sitting or house-sitting for you soon.
